Camila Cabello’s performance as a coach on “The Voice” continues getting better and better.
Tuesday night’s Season 22 opener of the programme saw Cabello land Reina Ley, an ebullient 13-year-old mariachi singer from Arizona. Cabello and colleague coach Gwen Stefani jumped up from their seats to spin around onstage while Ley sang a powerful rendition of the Mexican classic “Cielito Lindo” that won them over.
“I love the sound of your voice. The singer Cabello, who is also of Mexican ancestry, stated, “I love that you’re singing a mariachi tune. “All of that music is such a lovely thing to tap into, and I’m really proud of our culture.”
Ley decided to ally herself with Team Camila, proving that the two were meant to be.
Cabello of Ley remarked, “This is the kind of artist I wanted.” She is a highly talented vocalist and has a tone that is buttery and lovely. Additionally, growing up as an immigrant, I thought she might be my younger sister.
